So ladies, you know how we need to have a good cry every now and then? It's just part of being a woman right? Even if there isn't something in particular to be upset about. Every once in a while, we need to sit down in front of a sad movie and have that release. Because we as women have a lot of feelings, and if we expressed them all the time, men would think we're crazier than they already think we are. So we have these good cries to cleanse our minds and bodies of excess pent up feelings at appropriate times and in appropriate places.
Well. I guess I haven't been having any good cries lately. I've been neglecting my good cries to focus on school, the new house, vacations and visitors. So, I was overdue. WAY overdue. And you know how when you're overdue it takes just the eensy teeniest thing to set you off into an uncontrollable sob-fest? A boohoo session of such great magnitude that you would really hope for it to take place in the privacy of your own home? But sometimes...it happens in PUBLIC!
Let's just say, that I was very bewildered to find out from the receptionist at the eye doctor today that my vision insurance only covers $200 worth of contact lenses in a 24 month period, which will buy about 12 pair of lenses which lasts for 12 months, as you're to throw the pair out at the end of each month. And let's just say that the idea of Boeing (BOEING! Who hasn't heard how great Boeing's benefits are!?) only paying for me to not strain my eyes 50% of the time was so confusing to me, that the confusion and resulting frustration was so great that it manifested itself in an unstoppable fountain of tears and snot. So significant, that not only did I conclude I would have to reschedule the eye exam, but I had to excuse myself before the receptionist could pull up the calendar. And let's just say, that I will be rescheduling that appointment, but at a different eye doctor.
Now, I'm going to take a hot bath and pretend that didn't just happen.
